LOOSE WEIGHT, CHOLESTEROL EATING RED MEAT

Red meat has been wrongly accused, slandered and scapegoated as the cause of heart disease and cancer since the late 1940s.

Now a new analysis of 20 studies involving over one million people performed by Harvard researchers and published in the medical journal Circulation finds that red meat is completely innocent of all charges.
I’ve been saying this for years (along with Drs. Stephen Sinatra, Joseph Mercola, Weston Price and others), but when the medical establishment gets its jaws around a bone it’s not likely to let go of it — even when the facts prove them wrong. Read on...

New Study Reveals Massive Bone Health Deception

A newly discovered bone function has stunned mainstream scientists. Columbia University Medical Center researchers have confirmed what I’ve been saying all along: that the skeleton is not just an inert calcified structure, but rather, a dynamic and active tissue that’s constantly renewing itself if it’s given what it needs. They have found that a protein secreted by matrix depositing bone cells or osteoblasts regulates blood glucose and fat deposition.read on

WHAT'S THE SCORE WITH YOUR PANCREAS?

Our pancreas creates a hormone called insulin that transports blood sugar into our body's cells where it is used for energy. When we eat refined grains that have had most of their fiber stripped away, sugar, or other carbohydrate-rich foods that are quickly processed into blood sugar, the pancreas goes into overtime to produce the insulin necessary for all this blood sugar to be used for energy.Read on...

WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL ABOUT INSULIN RESISTANCE?

Insulin resistance is a greatly misunderstood health problem among women. Many women have the mistaken belief that insulin resistance only happens to those who are overweight or in those who eat too many sweets, or that it leads inevitably to diabetes, or that there is nothing they can do about it if they’re insulin resistant.

How do I know if I’m insulin resistant?
The unfortunate truth is that anyone can become insulin resistant — even if they are thin. We are all at risk in our society where we have access to a lot of refined carbohydrates (white bread, sugar, bagels, pasta, potatoes, sodas, processed foods with added fructose, etc.). In fact, most of us are likely to be somewhat resistant to insulin.
It is just a matter of degree. The more processed and refined food that we eat, the more insulin we require to metabolize it. The more insulin in our blood, the less responsive our cells become. As we age, this continual exposure wears out our tolerance for refined carbohydrates and reduces our sensitivity to insulin.
If you suffer from high cholesterol, high triglycerides, or hypertension (high blood pressure), you should get checked for insulin resistance, regardless of your weight or age. If you have high blood pressure, it is likely that you are also suffering from insulin resistance. High blood pressure medication will not cure insulin resistance.

Healthy FoodWhile it’s true that all kinds of women are insulin resistant — or well on their way — the wonderful news is that insulin resistance is something we can prevent and even reverse naturally! Read on...
